Benifuki is created by crossbreeding Benihomare and Darjeeling, and registered in 1993 as a cultivar for making black tea. Later, it was found that methylated catechins and strictinin contained in the green tea made from Benifuki are effective to help relieve allergy symptoms (ex. Hay fever). Recommended ratio of leaf to water is 1g to 100mL, so use 1g of tealeaves per 100mL of boiling water. Steep for 5 minutes. Drink it in the morning, at lunch, in the evening and before going to bed, as methylated catechins stay in the body for about 2-3 hours after the intake. It is convenient to put the tea in a bottle to drink at work. To prevent the allergic symptoms, start drinking it about 1 month before the symptoms start.
Our Benifuki is blended with first flush and second flush of Benifuki to create a less astringent, mild flavor.
